Argh! Where does the time go? We all complain that time passes us too quickly, that there is never enough time to get everything completed that we want to get done. Maybe we just need to take a breather every now and then, cull our list of things we want to get done (or perhaps just be realistic?) and sit down, take the time and do them?
I created my 101 things to do in 1001 days list last year and have slowly been crossing things off. One of those things on my list was to complete a butterfly project with K. We've been collecting pictures of butterflies now for about 3 years. When we see a picture/photo of a butterfly, we rip it out of the magazine or print it up and throw it into an envelope on top of the fridge. Gradually, that pile of pictures has grown. Last week, little miss K caught the flu and was feeling rather crappy. I was fortunate enough to take a breather from work and stayed home with her for all three days - it was glorious. Just the two of us, hanging out watching The Cake Boss on TLC (her choice!!!), doing crafts and sipping our cup-a-soup. I dragged out the butterfly project and here's how its progressing...
everyday we fill in the holes a little bit more with the perfect picture. The best moment for me? Spending time with my little K, just the two of us.
